This Tsinghua University course (graduate-level) is a part of the Global Hybrid Classroom (GHC) Certificate program.
Exponential growth in connected devices is expected over the next decade, resulting in tremendous social and economic value as the Internet of Things, Ubiquitous Computing, Wearable Computing, and Smart Devices become dramatically more cost-effective, simpler to develop, and increasingly mainstream. To invent new applications and develop the expanding connected device market, leaders are required to be knowledgeable about a vast of technology, understand prototyping and design and have entrepreneurial skills. In order to cultivate more innovative talents of science and technology, the Global Innovation Exchange Institute of Tsinghua University offers a certificate program in “Artificial Intelligence of Things”.
This certificate program prepares students to develop AIoT that addresses complex real-world problems. This series of courses help learners understand the background and cutting-edge technologies of IoT, laying the foundation for a deeper understanding of the new industrial revolution era we are living in. Additionally, these three courses provide interdisciplinary project-oriented education by case-study-based approach and picking problems to work with that brings together various aspects of data gathering and organization, signal processing, and machine learning for AIoT Applications and Embedded Systems design.

Yunhao Liu received his BS degree in Automation Department from Tsinghua University, and an MA degree in Beijing Foreign Studies University, China. He received an MS and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University, USA.
Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University
Yuntao WANG is an assistant professor (research track) in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, where he works in the Pervasive Interaction Lab on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and ubiquitous computing. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on (1) modeling user’s motorial and physiological behavior with spatiotemporal features, (2) enabling novel continuously behavioral computing and sensing methods and techniques, and (3) developing on-device intelligent systems targeted on high-impact application domains including human computer interaction, health, and accessibility. He was granted of national fundings including National Key R&D Program and Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as the principal or a key member. He published 40+ conferences or journal papers including SIGCHI, IMWUT, Comm. of the ACM. He was awarded with the first prize of science and technology award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and 6 conference paper awards. He applied 30+ patents (22 granted patents). Yuntao WANG serves as the assistant dean and technical advisor in the Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) of Tsinghua University.

Fan DANG is currently a research assistant professor at Global Innovation Exchange (GIX). He was previously a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Software, Tsinghua University, in collaboration with Prof. Yunhao Liu. He received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University in 2013 and 2018.
He is a fan of open source and proudly a member of TUNA (Tsinghua University Network Administrators).
Global Hybrid Courses (GHC) is currently open to current students from overseas partner universities of Tsinghua University, and it’s free. How to attend our GHC courses?
- Tsinghua University will send the list of GHC courses to overseas partner universities every semester. These universities will notify students to enroll and priority will be given to students eager to take part
- Students from overseas partner universities have to complete the courses required by the GHC Certificate within a specified time. After completing each course, they will receive a GHC transcript issued by Tsinghua University.
- Students from overseas partner universities attending Tsinghua’s postgraduate courses, whose own universities do not allow for credit transfer, can enjoy credit exemption if they study for postgraduate degrees at Tsinghua University in the future.
